Argen Pifia

This is a roleplaying game that takes place in Peronia, a province plagued by political conflict, supernatural threats, and hidden agendas. Three powerful factions—the Order of the Sun, the Alliance of the Ancestral Land, and the Brotherhood of the Mist—struggle for control, using diplomacy, espionage, and outright sabotage to gain influence. Meanwhile, strange and terrifying creatures lurk in the shadows, from flesh-stealing necrophages to spectral entities that defy logic.

You will take on the role of an adventurer, a character shaped by their motivations, flaws, and the choices you make along the way. With nothing but your wits, a handful of clues, and the roll of the dice, you will navigate a world where knowledge is power, deception is a tool, and every clue you uncover could bring you closer to the truth—or deeper into the unknown.

What does Argen Pifia mean?

Argen: An ancient word that means "the feeling that something bad is going to happen."

Pifia: A word that means "the worst possible outcome."

That is what Argen Pifia means.

Warning

The game world may contain sensitive topics, such as slavery, child exploitation, drug abuse, prostitution, corruption, and more. This content, however, is optional.

What You Need to Play

To play this role-playing game, you need the Player's Manual, 2 to 5 players, one of whom must be designated as the Game Master. You will also need a checkers or chess board, tokens to represent the characters (both player and non-player characters) and obstacles, one or two 20-sided dice (also called a d20), a 4-sided die (also called a d4), paper, and a pencil.

A 20-sided die can also be used as a d4.

Any digital application can replace any object you don’t have.

How to play

The GM may request a skill roll when the outcome of a character’s action is uncertain. To make a skill roll, the player rolls two d20 and adds certain bonuses to each roll. If one roll result is equal to or greater than the difficulty value of the skill roll, you get a success.

Sanity Rolls

Your character’s motivation and flaws are essential, as they are the main reason why this game system is engaging. Many Sanity Rolls result from motivations and flaws. A character can change their motivation or acquire new flaws over time.

Sanity rolls reflect the emotional and psychological impact your character experiences in certain situations. When the cause of a flaw becomes present, the GM will ask you to make a Sanity roll to resist the impulses of that flaw. If you fail the roll, your character will be affected by the flaw that triggered the roll.

Some situations may temporarily impose an additional flaw on your character.

Play the game, have fun and leave a comment. Everything you say is important to me
